  • In Memory of my Dad

I gave myself a project to photograph Monrovia Falls over a year.  Well, I have continued it for longer than a year and I have been struggling with photos the different scenes one will see while hiking to the falls.  I have seen this part of the creek for some time now and I have not been able to get a photograph of it the I actually liked.  I took this photo on Monday of this week.

    Approaching Monrovia Falls

My dad passed away yesterday and I could not sleep so I processed a number of pictures in the early hours of this morning.  I think he would have really liked this one.

    Thanks for looking,

    Scott

My dad’s death came as a shock to me and I am just now starting to understand my feelings and I will be posting more about him in the coming weeks.

Sorry about the deaths in you life.

      Thanks for commenting!

I just found out about the Falls recently and plan on going there in the near future. I wanted to see if there were any pictures of the Falls on the Internet so I did a search and up popped your site. I want to thank you for the pix. Sounds like you’re really into it.

I’m so sorry about your dad. I was hoping to read something about him like your feelings about him; who he was; what he did; what he liked and liked to do – hike? Was the Falls special to him? My dad passed away a few years ago and I have also had other deaths in my life recently. I miss all of them.

      Stuart
