  • Contrasts in Chicago

When Cynde and I were in Chicago last fall I walked around for several days looking for new photos and enjoying the architecture.  I really enjoyed seeing the contrasts in the different buildings and the styles of buildings over the years.  One of the things that I particularly enjoyed was the contrasts between the very ornate older buildings with the very modern all glass buildings that were much simpler.

We stayed near the new Trump Towers and I really liked how the very ornate older Wrigley Building contrasted with the extremely tall Trump Tower.

  • Trip to Chicago

A few weeks ago Cynde and I went to Chicago for about six days.  She attend a workshop/training course and I wandered around Chicago during the day taking pictures.  The first day that I wandered around I walked by the sculpture, called the “bean” by the locals (not sure what its real name is at this time).  This sculpture is huge and  has some interesting reflections.  I will post a few more photos of it in the near future.

  • Union Station Clock Tower

Last summer I participated in the first of Scott Kelby’s Photowalks, and this photo was taken during that event.  This photowalk and the resulting photos got me thinking about doing something different with my photography and I started working taking photos of the Los Angeles area, with hopefully, a little different perspective.
